Robert Clarke, Principal

Bob is a market-recognized advisor with more than 40 years of demonstrated experience assisting major healthcare providers solve and implement solutions to complex financial, strategic, regulatory and operational issues. Passionate about driving change and improving organizational results, Bob has a deep commitment to leadership development. Bob has facilitated peer to peer exchanges of healthcare leaders as well as facilitated transition labs to help healthcare leaders successfully onboard into their new role. Bob has significant experience in the C-suite and boardroom gained through reporting to management and the board on the results of strategic and financial planning engagements, turnarounds, corporate investigations, M&A engagements, financial statement audits and other financial advisory services.

Holding leadership positions continuously from 1995 to 2018 at Arthur Andersen and Deloitte, Bob most recently served as National Managing Partner of Deloitte Advisory’s Life Science & Health Care practice. Bob has extensive governance experience, serving as the Board Chair, Treasurer or Finance Committee member for not-for-profits such as The Chicago Lighthouse, American Cancer Society – Illinois, The Center for International Rehabilitation, Froedtert Health and Adventist HealthCare.

Bob, a CPA, is a graduate of Purdue University (BS Management) and the University of Arkansas (MBA). Bob also holds certifications from Cornell University in Executive Healthcare Management and Healthcare Change Management.

Jan Clarke, Principal

Jan is a proven healthcare attorney and advisor with extensive legal and healthcare operational experience. Jan’s prior experience as a member of the senior executive team of a regional healthcare system, her clinical background in nursing, and her over 35 years of experience as a healthcare attorney has given Jan a unique perspective and understanding of the inner workings of healthcare organizations and serves as the foundation for Jan’s expertise in helping healthcare organizations implement creative solutions to complex problems.

Jan has significant experience in working with boards of non-profit organizations, gained through her years of experience as General Counsel for a regional health system, through counseling and educating boards for the last 20 years, and through her many board member appointments for the Chicago Lighthouse, Gateway for Cancer Research, American Cancer Society, Kalamazoo chapter, among others. Jan is a frequent speaker nationally on a range of issues impacting hospitals and health systems, including board’s legal obligations and its role in compliance and driving the organization’s quality of care.

Jan is a graduate summa cum laude of University of Detroit Mercy (BS Nursing) and Michigan State University College of Law (JD). Jan also holds certifications from Cornell University in Executive Healthcare Management and Healthcare Change Management.
